The following data is based off of sales listed in the Door County MLS.  Only inland single family residential properties located in the City of Sturgeon Bay are included in this data.  Data for the third quarter (Jul – Sep) of 2022 runs through 9/18/2022.

The data trends are starting to hint that the slow down in the US housing market in general is affecting Sturgeon Bay as well. On Average, the data is showing an increase in the length of time a property is staying on the market and a decrease in the % of list price they get.  Prices per square foot are leveling off but have not yet shown a decrease.

It’s also important to note that the drop in the number of sales this year is due primarily to low inventory not a lack of buyers. However, as interest rates rise, more and more buyers will be priced out of the market.  Which in turn could put negative pressure on prices.
