I was blessed to have been born and raised in Sturgeon Bay, an area rich in natural beauty and strong in its sense of community. My father was on the school board and president of little league for many years and my mom was a Realtor, like me!  I remember making property brochures for my mom on our first computer, an original Macintosh!

I moved to Virginia for college where fell in love with the Shenandoah Valley.  My wife and I decided to settle down there.  I found my forever job, running a small publishing firm whose mission was help kids have a better life.  We found our forever house which we had to wait 9 months for the short sale to go through, and we had our daughter!  Everything was perfect in our lives.  Then, my wife’s dad had a series of strokes at only age 58.  As she is an only child on his side, we decided to move back to Wisconsin to try to help him out.

The values I was raised with served me well in my time away from Door County.  Now was the time to teach my daughter those same values.  It was sad to give up everything that we had worked so hard for, but we would never be able to enjoy our lives if we didn’t put family first.

Prior to becoming a Realtor I ran a small publishing company that sold parent involvement newsletters to schools and school districts throughout the country.  Working for a company whose mission is to help children have better lives resonated deeply with me.   Moving back to Door County gave me an opportunity to find a new career that would provide that same sense of purpose, that same sense of meaning.  My love for helping people, my analytical and research skills, and my years of experience in real estate on a personal level made the decision to be a Realtor an easy and exciting one!

My goal isn’t to sell more properties than anyone else in Door County.  My goal is to provide the highest level of service to all of my customers while maintaining a healthy work life balance so I can be the best Dad possible.  Selling a hundred properties in a year isn’t worth it to me if I can’t coach my daughter’s softball team, or take her to dance class, or get back to my customers in a timely manner and provide them with the level of care I would expect.

My mission is to be your life long real estate adviser and market expert for all your real estate needs.  This is about more than just real estate, it’s about your life and your dreams.
